Flood Essay TopicsA recent study by the University of British Columbia found that higher education instructors are not using two flood essay topics to prepare their students for the entrance examinations. Another study conducted by the Georgetown University found that more than half of the exam papers given at the entrance exams were flooded. This means that almost every paper was filled with mistakes, spelling and grammar mistakes, as well as irregularities in syntax and sentence structure.
What is even more disturbing is that only nine percent of the students enrolled in universities and colleges in the US took the exams, whereas the rest of the essays were prepared with different essay topics. This situation poses a grave threat to the quality of the education because the faculty is so overloaded with essays that they are forced to call on their adjuncts to do writing projects to fill the gaps.
The number of students enrolled in universities and colleges in Texas is also increasing, making it even more difficult for the schools to cope up with the demand for educational resources. All these factors coupled with over-crowded teaching faculty have made it easy for universities and colleges to adopt this flood essay topic approach for preparing their students for the entrance exams. Of course, this way, it will become even more difficult for students to tackle the paper.
I am not sure if the students who are studying at Texas colleges use flood essay topics when preparing for their exams. It is quite clear that the subject-matter experts assigned to these students only come up with so many essay topics. In a system that is highly dependent on tests, it is quite understandable why the subjects of flood essay topics are used. But it would be better if the professors would find other means to cover the most important subject matter areas.
In contrast, colleges in Texas have stopped considering the recent trend that seems to be slowly dominating the education system in the US. This new attitude, however, does not apply to all the professors assigned to the students; just a few professors are completely against the use of these flood topics.
It is clear that the education system in Texas has a long way to go before it can compete with the other states in the US when it comes to providing quality education to its students. It is obvious that the professors are totally wrong when they say that they are not aware of the latest trends in education.
At the same time, it is also apparent that the president of the university and his staff do not have enough time to research and implement methods that are applicable to the education system in Texas. They are simply ignorant about the latest knowledge about essay topics.
Students should understand the problems that they are facing with regard to essay topics and how they can overcome them. It is quite possible that with more awareness they can solve the problem. Education in Texas is very important to students as they will be able to make their mark in the society.
